Technician – Specialist in Automation, Electrical & Air Conditioning

About the role

The Technician – Specialist will deliver effective technical interventions on automation, electrical and air‑conditioning systems of heavy mining equipment. Working on‑site in Guinea, you will ensure equipment reliability and customer satisfaction under BIA’s maintenance contracts and SLA agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Erect, configure, modify and repair field equipment following shop manuals and OEM procedures.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and air‑conditioning systems, especially on large Komatsu machines.
• Follow planning instructions, produce accurate reports and adhere to company procedures.
• Maintain safe working conditions, protect company assets and comply with HSE and environmental policies.
• Identify, record and report safety or technical issues, proposing corrective actions.

Required profile

• Diploma or certified factory training; Komatsu machine training is a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in field equipment maintenance, preferably in West Africa.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and air‑conditioning systems for heavy machinery.
• Ability to work independently on‑site and follow strict safety standards.
