On‑call Radiologic Technologist Consultant (IOM Guinea)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking an on‑call Radiologic Technologist consultant to support the Health Assessment Programme for refugees and migrants in Guinea. The consultant will provide continuous, task‑based assistance in acquiring and processing chest X‑ray examinations in accordance with IOM, international radiographic standards and the technical requirements of resettlement countries.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire high‑quality chest X‑ray images for migrants as requested by physicians or radiologists.
• Perform additional chest X‑ray views following standard procedures when required.
• Explain examination procedures to applicants and answer their questions.
• Prepare equipment and examination rooms, verify applicant identification, enter correct biodata into CR/DR systems and label images accurately.
• Apply appropriate radiographic techniques and radiation‑protection measures, including pelvic lead shielding for all and double wrap‑around shielding for pregnant women.
• Maintain proper positioning of applicants and ensure compliance with IOM and international guidelines.

Required profile

• Works under the direct supervision of the Senior Radiologic Technologist, IOM Radiologist or Chief Migration Health Officer.
• Receives technical guidance from the IOM Teleradiology Center.
