Surintendant(e) Commissioning

About the role

The Commissioning Superintendent will lead and coordinate all commissioning activities for the Simandou project installations and infrastructure. The role ensures that systems, equipment and operational teams are fully prepared for a safe start‑up, smooth hand‑over to operations and sustainable long‑term performance.

Key responsibilities

• Promote an exemplary safety culture by enforcing HSE procedures, regulatory requirements, work permits and LOTO processes during commissioning.
• Lead risk assessments, SIMOPS reviews, hazard analyses and follow‑up corrective actions to guarantee safe and compliant start‑up.
• Develop and execute commissioning strategies, plans, procedures, schedules and milestones aligned with project and operational readiness goals.
• Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams and coordinate commissioning activities with construction, engineering, operations and project teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading large‑scale commissioning programmes, preferably in the mining or heavy‑industrial sector.
• Strong understanding of HSE standards, risk management and operational readiness concepts.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse technical teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
