Environmental and Social Lead

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Environmental and Social Lead to support K&A Engineering’s energy and utility projects across West Africa. The role will focus on delivering comprehensive environmental and social impact assessments and ensuring compliance with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and implementation of environmental and social impact assessments for large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Ensure project compliance with World Bank requirements and IFC Performance Standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate environmental and social considerations into project design and execution.
• Provide technical guidance on mitigation measures and monitoring plans.
• Engage with local stakeholders and regulatory authorities in West African countries.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in environmental and social impact assessments.
• Previous work on World Bank‑funded or other large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong expertise in IFC Performance Standards.
• Master’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience working in West African countries.
