Chief Field Officer – UNICEF Guinea

About the role

The Chief Field Officer (CFO) leads UNICEF’s field office in Labe, Guinea, and is accountable for the total programme commitment within the country programme. The CFO represents UNICEF in the assigned area, ensuring delivery of quality results that align with UNICEF’s cooperation programme, country plan and humanitarian commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Effective management of UNICEF presence, staff and assets in the field office.
• Lead programme development, implementation and results‑based management.
• Ensure optimal use of programme funds and oversee monitoring and evaluation activities.
• Promote rights‑based approaches and build national and local capacity for sustainability.
• Advocate for children at national, community and family levels.
• Coordinate partnerships, collaborations and humanitarian response actions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in social sciences, international relations, public administration or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in programme management, planning, monitoring and evaluation, or project administration.
• Fluency in French and good knowledge of English.
