Deputy Site Manager

About the role

The Deputy Site Manager supports the Site Manager in overseeing the daily operations of a mining equipment site in Guinea. This role ensures fleet performance, compliance with maintenance standards, and acts as interim Site Manager when required.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure proper operation and condition of machine fleets under customer contracts, following BIA and OEM (Komatsu) maintenance procedures.
• Act as interim Site Manager in the absence of the Site Manager.
• Assist the Site Manager with day‑to‑day site management tasks.
• Participate in quality plan implementation, monitor KPIs and report non‑conformities.
• Update risk analyses, enforce HSE procedures, lead safety meetings and ensure PPE compliance.
• Manage the Assistant Fleet Manager, foremen and their teams, organizing work and optimizing resource allocation.
• Plan and execute inspections, preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs and ensure contractual equipment availability.
• Analyze breakdown data, MTBF, and propose continuous improvement actions.

Required profile

• Experience in site or fleet management within mining or construction equipment environments.
• Familiarity with OEM maintenance prescriptions, especially Komatsu.
• Strong knowledge of HSE standards and risk prevention practices.
• Ability to supervise teams, conduct training and lead safety initiatives.
