Product Expert – Excavators

About the role

The Product Expert – Excavators will ensure the highest level of quality and reliability for excavator projects in Guinea. Working closely with senior supervisors and planning teams, you will oversee maintenance, rebuilds and parts installation for Komatsu machines while maintaining strict safety and documentation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Utilise special and common tooling to support senior supervisors and planners in achieving operational targets.
• Assist the planner manager in short‑ and mid‑term operation planning, considering parts delivery.
• Monitor daily work progress against the plan and allocate job cards to technicians based on skill sets.
• Ensure work complies with Komatsu Standard Procedures and proper use of Komatsu ICT tools.
• Provide daily operational reports, timesheets, and core assessment/PM Clinic reports to the Senior Supervisor or Fleet Manager.
• Maintain detailed records, photos and documentation for warranty submissions and backlog reporting.
• Perform routine machine inspections, recommend parts, and track parts consumption.
• Deliver on‑the‑job training, technical advice and promote a zero‑tolerance safety culture.
• Keep a clean, safe work environment and ensure timely submission of all documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience with Komatsu large excavators (e.g., PC2000‑8, PC3000‑6, PC4000‑11, PC5500‑11).
• Advanced certification on Komatsu equipment; overseas experience in West Africa is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems of heavy equipment.
• Experience with rebuild facility procedures and component removal/installation.
• Customer‑focused attitude and respect for leadership and team members.
