Programme Officer – Transform Project (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Programme Officer will support the TRANSFORM programme, a four‑year EU‑funded project aimed at strengthening Guinean gazelle enterprises in sustainable agricultural and fishery processing. Reporting to the Project Coordinator in Geneva, the officer will combine managerial and technical expertise to ensure effective implementation and coordination of all activities.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the design, implementation and evaluation of programme activities, monitoring economic and political developments in Guinea and the sub‑region.
• Conduct consulting assignments, facilitate workshops and assist clients in developing action plans for change management.
• Research, analyse and present information from diverse sources; prepare background papers, analyses and sections of reports.
• Support the organisation of Steering Committee and Technical Committee meetings and coordinate with Guinean partners to align the programme with government priorities.
• Lead outreach activities, deliver training workshops and represent ITC in UN Country Team meetings and other inter‑agency mechanisms.
• Coordinate budget and funding activities, prepare financial documents and maintain a central beneficiary database in collaboration with the M&E expert.

Required profile

• Professionalism: solid knowledge of regional trade integration, value‑chain support, trade policy, EU financial management rules and UN system tools; ability to analyse issues and manage conflicting priorities.
• Teamwork: collaborative approach, willingness to learn from others, and commitment to shared goals and joint responsibility.
• Client orientation: ability to understand client needs, build trustful partnerships and keep clients informed of project progress.
