Accountant Team Lead - Guinea

About the role

The Accountant Team Lead will supervise the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams, ensuring finance activities are accurate, timely and aligned with company policies and KPIs. The role works closely with Finance, Sales, Operations and other stakeholders to maintain reliable financial records and effective working capital management.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, coach and support the AR and AP teams, reviewing transactions for accuracy, completeness and proper approvals.
• Coordinate month‑end closing activities, including accruals, journals, payroll postings, exchange‑rate adjustments and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Monitor customer receivable aging and supplier aging, driving collections, payment planning and working‑capital optimisation.
• Prepare VAT reconciliations, payroll tax schedules and statutory submissions, supporting audits and internal reviews.
• Prepare and review financial reports, reconciliations and other finance‑related information for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting, finance, AP/AR or similar role.
• Previous experience supervising or coordinating an accounting team.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls and reporting requirements.
• Fluent French; English is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems.
