About the role
The Cashier will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service at our service stations. You will be responsible for accurately processing cash, credit and debit transactions, handling payments, and maintaining a positive environment for customers.
Key responsibilities
- Process all receipts, including paying‑in slips and cheques, and ensure accurate accounting entries.
- Deposit receipts daily and monitor bank statements and balances.
- Manage cash drawer, reconcile daily cash and card sales, and report any discrepancies.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints and provide courteous service.
- Follow up on bounced checks and drafts, informing relevant parties promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and support promotional campaigns.
Required profile
- Finance, economics or accounting qualification.
- Prior experience as a cashier or in a customer‑service role.
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
Required skills
- Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
- Cash management and reconciliation practices.
