Cook / Chef (01) – Retail & Mass Distribution

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Cook/Chef (01) to join a retail and mass‑distribution establishment. Reporting to the Department or Production Manager, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of ready‑made meals and side dishes while ensuring high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes intended for sale, following recipes, technical specifications and defined quantities.
• Ensure product quality, freshness, presentation and strict compliance with hygiene, food‑safety and traceability standards.
• Monitor food temperatures and storage conditions, and participate in receipt, inspection and storage of goods.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Assist in stock management, aiming to minimise losses and food waste.
• Meet production deadlines and contribute to overall customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Formal training in culinary arts or proven professional experience in a similar role.
• Experience in retail/mass‑distribution, catering, institutional catering or commercial food service is an advantage.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team‑oriented mindset, punctuality, reliability and good availability.
