Founding Technical Partner (Equity) – Mobile & Backend Engineer

About the role

WuriePay is building the next generation of African fintech by merging digital payments, AI, and blockchain. As a Founding Technical Partner you will join the team part‑time, transition to full‑time, and receive founder‑level equity.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale WuriePay’s mobile applications and backend services.
• Make critical technical and architecture decisions.
• Integrate payment APIs and third‑party services.
• Ensure security, scalability, and reliability of the platform.
• Contribute to the product roadmap and help build the future engineering team.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Flutter or React Native.
• Backend development experience (Node.js, NestJS, Firebase, Supabase, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Proficiency with APIs, Git, cloud services, and system architecture.
• Fintech, AI, or blockchain exposure is a plus.
• Fluent in French; English is a strong plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ambition to create a global company.
