HSE Officer

About the role

The HSE Officer will lead the coordination and improvement of BIA Group's Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and 5S systems across its operations in Guinea. The role focuses on communication strategies, promotion campaigns and the implementation of security protocols to embed a strong HSE culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute internal and external HSE communication strategies to increase visibility and employee engagement.
• Produce quarterly HSE performance reports for each country/entity.
• Design and launch HSE promotion and prevention campaigns in collaboration with the HSE Corporate Manager.
• Maintain and update departmental documents, best‑practice guides and SharePoint libraries.
• Translate HSE documentation, presentations and communications from French to English.
• Create, schedule and measure the impact of internal and external HSE newsletters.
• Support the rollout of digital tools for HSE management and provide related training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in HSE, safety, or related fields.
• Fluent written and spoken French and English.
• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for numbers.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using communication tools for corporate messaging.
• Knowledge of statistical tools for data analysis.
