Junior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our team in Guinea. In this full‑time, on‑site position you will support daily accounting operations, assist with month‑end and year‑end closing, and contribute to audit preparation for our diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions and maintain accurate general ledger entries.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Prepare basic financial reports and assist in bank statement reconciliations.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including journal entry preparation.
• Assist senior accountants with audit documentation, compliance tasks, and filing of financial records.
• Respond to routine accounting inquiries from colleagues and clients.
• Participate in continuous improvement of accounting procedures and internal controls.

Required profile

• Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger, and basic financial reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (or equivalent).
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and reliability handling numeric data.
• Intermediate proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site in Guinea and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Competence in standard office productivity tools (word processing, data entry applications).
