Material Specialist – Guinea (Locomotive Repair)

About the role
The Material Specialist will manage the flow of materials into the locomotive repair line at our subcontractor facility in Guinea. Working 24/7 on two 12‑hour shifts, you will ensure that all required parts and supplies are available on time to keep the repair line operating smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with the technical execution team to fulfill material requests and communicate any issues.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of third‑party logistics providers.
- Conduct daily morning meetings, cycle counts, and annual stock inventories.
- Inspect incoming materials for quality and verify against purchase orders.
- Maintain organized stock areas, label parts, and ensure safe packaging for shipping.
- Operate forklift and other material‑handling equipment.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Fluent in French and English; Guinean nationality required.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced setting.
