Portuguese Data Trainer – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a native‑level Brazilian Portuguese speaker to work remotely as a Data Trainer for advanced AI systems. In this hourly‑paid contractor position you will evaluate AI‑generated content, assess step‑by‑step reasoning, and ensure outputs meet safety and policy standards in both Portuguese and English.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated responses for accuracy, clarity, logical reasoning and compliance with safety policies.
• Identify and document logical, methodological or conceptual errors in model outputs.
• Compare and rate multiple AI responses based on correctness, safety alignment and policy adherence.
• Perform fact‑checking and validation where required.
• Conduct red‑teaming and adversarial testing to uncover vulnerabilities, edge cases and unsafe behaviours.
• Document findings with clear, structured reasoning and reproducible decision paths.
• Apply and localise safety policies across Portuguese and English, recognising slang, coded language and cultural nuances.
• Escalate ambiguous cases using defined policy frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Linguistics, Communications, Psychology, Law, Policy, Security Studies or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese (reading and writing) and minimum C1 English proficiency.
• At least 5 years of experience in Trust & Safety, content moderation, policy operations, compliance, investigations or related functions.
• Proven experience in LLM red‑teaming or adversarial testing.
• Strong analytical writing, structured reasoning and high attention to detail.
