Production Supervisor

About the role

The Production Supervisor ensures safe and efficient daily mining operations, meeting production targets while driving workforce productivity. This FIFO position works on a 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster and bridges mine planning with field execution, focusing on training and upskilling national supervisors.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise drilling, blasting, loading, hauling and dumping activities in line with short‑term mine plans.
• Coordinate shift handovers and allocate equipment and personnel to meet operational priorities.
• Lead, coach and develop multidisciplinary teams, including operators, contractors and technicians.
• Conduct pre‑start safety meetings, daily briefings and enforce HSE procedures.
• Monitor production rates, cycle times, equipment utilisation and identify bottlenecks.
• Implement corrective actions to optimise loading and hauling efficiency.
• Collaborate with maintenance to minimise downtime and ensure consumable availability.
• Track achievement of daily/weekly targets (tonnage, BCM, ore delivery) and safety indicators.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mining Engineering or a related field (desirable).
• Strong operational team‑leading experience in a mining environment.
• Proven leadership experience with a focus on training and mentoring.
• Understanding of fleet management systems and production cycles.
