Resilience Officer – Climate & Food Security

About the role

The Resilience Officer will lead and manage resilience programmes that strengthen climate‑resilient food systems and sustainable livelihoods in Guinea. Reporting to WFP, the role oversees the World Bank‑funded Commercial Agriculture Development project and represents WFP in external forums.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate resilience programmes, ensuring alignment with WFP policies and climate‑gender integration.
• Oversee planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of all resilience activities.
• Manage project pipelines, budgets, donor compliance and regular reporting.
• Support the design of new initiatives and develop funding proposals.
• Coordinate missions, stakeholder engagement and internal collaboration across CO, SOs, RO and HQ.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Agriculture, Development Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in resilience programming or project management; team‑management experience preferred.
• Fluent French (required) and working knowledge of English.
