About the role

This academic internship in Health & Safety – Critical Risk Management offers a unique chance to apply your university knowledge while supporting Rio Tinto SimFer’s integrated management systems on one of the world’s largest mining projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the deployment and continuous improvement of integrated HSE management systems.
• Support activities aimed at preventing major incidents and enhancing overall HSE performance.
• Contribute to the identification, evaluation, and control of critical risks under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Required profile

• Guinean nationality.
• Enrolled in a recognized university pursuing a degree in HSE, Risk Management, Industrial Engineering, Quality, Environment, Mining, Geology or a related field.
• Possess a valid internship agreement from your university.
• Strong interest in critical risk management and incident prevention.
• Good knowledge of risk identification, assessment and mitigation principles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated rigor, analytical mindset, organization and excellent communication skills.
• English language knowledge is an advantage.
