Technician Specialist – Auto Electrical & Air Conditioning

About the role

The Technician Specialist will ensure that auto‑electrical and air‑conditioning projects are executed to the highest quality and reliability standards within the defined timeframe. Working in a fully equipped rebuild workshop, you will support the workshop manager in planning, supervising, and delivering mining equipment components.

Key responsibilities

• Utilise workshop labour and resources to meet operational targets.
• Assist the workshop manager with short‑ and mid‑term planning, considering parts delivery.
• Monitor daily progress against the plan and allocate job cards to technicians.
• Supervise sub‑ordinates to ensure work complies with Komatsu standards and RESO software usage.
• Maintain detailed records, pictures, labor logs, and parts consumption for each job.
• Provide daily operational reports, timesheets, and component testing results to the Senior Supervisor.
• Promote a zero‑tolerance safety culture and keep the workshop clean and safe.

Required profile

• Craft or advanced certificate in a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a fully equipped REMAN workshop handling mining machine components.
• Strong knowledge of mechanics and electricity.
• Customer‑focused attitude with good verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and follow change‑management procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS‑Word, Excel and MS Project.
• Experience using RESO software.
• Hands‑on expertise in auto‑electrical and air‑conditioning systems.
• Familiarity with Komatsu standard procedures and rebuild facility processes.
