Backend Engineer Annotator

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer Annotator to support the development and evaluation of artificial intelligence systems. In this role you will review, annotate, and validate backend‑engineering datasets, code samples and system‑design outputs, ensuring high‑quality training data for AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and annotate backend code samples, REST API and GraphQL workflows.
• Label datasets that involve authentication mechanisms, microservices interactions and event‑driven designs.
• Validate scalability, performance and reliability standards of server‑side code.
• Provide structured evaluation feedback and engineering reasoning for annotated items.
• Review database queries, authentication systems and containerized deployments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related technical discipline.
• Experience reviewing code or conducting technical assessments.
• Strong understanding of backend security principles and secure coding standards.

Required skills

• Authentication systems: OAuth, JWT, session management.
• Microservices architecture, distributed systems and event‑driven design.
• Containerization tools: Docker.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB.
• API technologies: REST, GraphQL.
