HR Supervisor

About the role

The HR Supervisor will support day‑to‑day human resources operations across West‑Africa for OBT, a pan‑African maritime and logistics company. The role ensures HR processes align with Group policies and local labour regulations while fostering a positive work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for employee HR queries and support requests.
• Coordinate HR tasks with Group HR, maintaining compliance with corporate policies.
• Maintain accurate employee records and documentation in the HiBob HR system.
• Support employee relations, including disciplinary actions and performance processes.
• Administer employee benefits, leave, insurance and other programmes.
• Manage expatriate work permits, residency and visa processes.
• Coordinate recruitment activities, interview scheduling and candidate communication.
• Facilitate onboarding and off‑boarding to ensure smooth transitions.
• Identify training needs and help organise development initiatives.
• Implement employee engagement and retention programmes.
• Ensure compliance with local labour laws and internal HR procedures.
• Assist with HR reporting, data management and HSQE program participation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in HR or HR administration.
• Knowledge of HR best practices and ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Experience working in an international or multicultural environment is a plus.
