Human Resources Business Partner – Mine

About the role

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will act as a strategic advisor to mine leadership, aligning people strategies with operational goals to drive safe, sustainable growth. Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, the role is site‑based on a 4/2 roster and focuses on workforce productivity, leadership effectiveness, and organizational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with mine and functional leaders to integrate HR strategies with production targets and business objectives.
• Provide guidance on organizational effectiveness, change management, and performance improvement.
• Lead organizational design, workforce planning, and optimization initiatives.
• Develop workforce readiness plans for start‑up, construction‑to‑operations transition, and strategic projects.
• Identify capability gaps, succession needs, and critical resource risks, delivering talent solutions.
• Champion inclusion, diversity, nationalization, employee engagement, wellbeing, and culture initiatives.
• Coach leaders on people management, team effectiveness, and change leadership.
• Support business transformation, restructuring, and culture change while strengthening capability.
• Analyze workforce data and HR metrics to provide actionable insights.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar strategic HR role, preferably in a mining or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of organizational design, workforce planning, and talent management.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive change.
• Commitment to inclusion, diversity, and employee wellbeing.
