Industrial Relations and HR Manager

About the role

The Senior HR Professional specializing in Industrial Relations will lead the company’s labor‑relations strategy, ensure compliance with local labour laws, and strengthen community ties. This role also oversees core HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, benefits administration, and employee development, aligning them with the organization’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement industrial‑relations strategies to promote workplace harmony.
• Serve as primary liaison with union representatives and lead collective‑bargaining negotiations.
• Resolve industrial disputes promptly while ensuring legal compliance.
• Design and deliver training on labour‑relations best practices for managers and staff.
• Create and execute community‑engagement initiatives that reflect the company’s values.
• Represent the organization at community meetings, events, and CSR projects.
• Collaborate with HR team on recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and payroll support.
• Advise senior management on HR trends, policy updates, and inclusive workplace practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; master’s or professional certification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of HR experience with a focus on industrial relations and community engagement.
• Strong knowledge of labour laws, collective‑bargaining processes, and community development.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English; Mandarin is a plus.
• Experience in the rail industry is advantageous.
