About the role
The Komatsu Workshop Supervisor ensures that equipment rebuild projects are delivered with the highest quality, reliability and within the planned timeframe. Working on‑site in Guinea, you will lead the workshop team, allocate tasks, and guarantee compliance with Komatsu standards and safety procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Maximise utilisation of workshop labour and resources to meet operational targets.
- Assist the workshop manager in short‑ and mid‑term planning, considering parts delivery.
- Monitor daily work progress against the plan and adjust allocations as needed.
- Supervise technicians, allocate job cards, and align jobs with skill sets.
- Ensure work quality follows Komatsu Standard Procedures and proper use of RESO software.
- Provide daily operational reports, timesheets, and component testing documentation to the Senior Supervisor.
- Maintain detailed records, pictures, labour logs and parts consumption for each job.
- Deliver on‑the‑job training, technical advice and promote a zero‑tolerance safety culture.
- Keep the workshop clean, safe and ensure timely documentation and change management.
Required profile
- Craft or advanced certificate in a related technical field.
- Strong knowledge of mechanics and electricity.
- Good computer skills, especially MS‑Word, Excel and MS Project.
- Experience with rebuild facility procedures, component removal and installation.
- Customer‑focused attitude and respect for team leadership.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a fully equipped REMAN workshop handling mining machine components.
