About the role

GI EXPERTISE, a Human Resources consulting firm, is recruiting on behalf of a client in the retail and mass‑distribution sector. The Logistics Assistant will support the Logistics Manager in monitoring the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods, maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring smooth flow of materials.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor receipt, storage and dispatch of goods.
• Participate in receipt and inspection of goods against delivery notes and transport documents.
• Record and update stock movements.
• Organise and store products properly within storage areas.
• Prepare orders and ensure they are ready for delivery.
• Track incoming and outgoing goods, reporting any discrepancies.
• Assist with physical inventory counts and stock control.
• File and archive logistics‑related documents.
• Prepare and monitor delivery, transfer and goods receipt documents.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure timely availability of goods.
• Monitor deliveries and help manage delays or incidents.
• Ensure compliance with storage, handling, hygiene and safety procedures.
• Contribute to optimisation of goods flows and reduction of losses.

Required profile

• High school diploma to Bachelor’s degree (Bac to Bac+2/3) in Logistics, Transport, Inventory Management, Business or related field.
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in retail/mass distribution, commerce, logistics or warehouse management.
• Good knowledge of inventory management principles and logistics operations.
• Proficiency with office software, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and rigor.
• Effective teamwork and communication abilities.
• Responsiveness and ability to manage priorities.
• Punctuality, reliability and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Fluent French is required.
