Logistics Project Coordinator

About the role

The Logistics Project Coordinator at OBT Group will manage complex project cargo movements for clients in mining, renewables and industrial sectors. You will design transport solutions, coordinate with global logistics partners and ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery of shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in status meetings with key account customers and update project milestones.
• Design transport solutions that meet transit time, budget and technical requirements.
• Coordinate with third‑party logistics providers worldwide and OBT offices in Africa.
• Oversee out‑of‑gauge transports, vessel cargo handling and stakeholder communications.
• Prepare and verify shipping documentation, cost verification and invoicing.
• Conduct on‑site cargo inspections, route surveys and supervise cargo handling.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in freight forwarding, preferably project cargo.
• Relevant education in shipping, logistics or related field.
• Fluent English; French or Portuguese a plus.
• Ability to travel across the Schengen area and worldwide, including Africa.
• Strong problem‑solving, detail‑orientation and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Freight forwarding / logistics system experience
• Knowledge of international shipping terms and basic customs specifications
