Operations Superintendent – Gold Processing Plant

About the role

Mansa Resources is looking for an experienced Operations Superintendent to lead the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of the processing facilities at Kouroussa Gold Mine in Guinea. Reporting to the Processing Director, you will be responsible for plant performance, ROM Pad, Tailings Storage Facility, water management and team development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead 24/7 safe and efficient operation of the gold processing plant, meeting production, availability and utilization targets.
• Manage production teams, shift rotations, workforce planning and ensure operational continuity across all processing activities.
• Coordinate plant start‑ups, shutdowns, commissioning and continuous improvement projects with Metallurgy and Maintenance.
• Oversee ROM Pad management, including ore stockpiling, blending, inventory reconciliation and feed optimisation.
• Manage Tailings Storage Facility operations and site water balance to ensure compliant tailings deposition and water management.
• Drive performance through production reviews, root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide visible HSE leadership and ensure compliance with company standards, statutory requirements and the International Cyanide Management Code.
• Coach and develop supervisors, operators and training personnel to build a competent production workforce.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or Master’s in Extractive Metallurgy, Process Engineering, Mining Engineering, Industrial Chemistry or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of gold processing experience, including at least 4 years in a senior production leadership role.
• Proven experience managing CIL/CIP gold processing plants, ROM Pad activities and Tailings Storage Facilities.
• Strong leadership in health, safety, environmental and operational risk management.
• Experience leading large multicultural teams in a mining environment.
• Fluent in English and French, valid driver’s licence and ability to work on a remote mine site.
