About the role

Lapaire is looking for a qualified optician to join its Conakry agency. You will be the main point of contact for customers, helping them choose the right lenses and frames while ensuring high‑quality eye‑care services.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales growth by actively engaging with customers and understanding their visual health needs.
• Present Lapaire’s range of glasses and frames, explaining product benefits in a clear, pedagogical manner.
• Interpret prescriptions, conduct objective and subjective refraction tests using a test kit and Snellen chart (or auto‑refractometer when available).
• Perform dioptre measurements with a frontofocometer when required.
• Identify vision problems, advise customers on eye‑health maintenance, and provide personalized after‑sales support.
• Verify that delivered lenses and frames match agency orders.
• Collaborate closely with the agency manager and sales team, contributing ideas and initiatives to improve service.

Required profile

• Experience working in an optical shop or similar environment.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Ability to work in a multicultural team and adapt to a dynamic, expanding company.
• Willingness to learn continuously and take initiative in daily tasks.

Required skills

• Refraction testing (objective and subjective).
• Use of Snellen chart.
• Operation of an auto‑refractometer (if available).
• Frontofocometer usage.
• Prescription interpretation.
