People Operations Associate

About the role

Wave is building the first cashless continent in Africa and needs a proactive People Operations Associate to keep its Conakry office and field locations running smoothly. You will be the primary point of contact for all HR and office‑management matters, ensuring a supportive environment for our growing team.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain HR policies, procedures, and administrative systems for Wave Guinea.
• Onboard new staff, manage employee records, compensation, benefits, promotions, transfers, performance reviews and terminations.
• Process work permits and act as the main business partner for people‑related issues.
• Oversee day‑to‑day office operations, health and safety compliance, utilities, security, supplies, equipment and inventory.
• Manage office budgets, procurements, canteen vendors and cleaning staff.
• Arrange domestic and international travel, handle fleet, fuel and driver management.
• Plan and execute corporate events such as happy hours, retreats and conferences.

Required profile

• Fast‑paced, data‑driven individual with strong organisational skills.
• Experience in HR administration, office management or related functions.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
• Willingness to travel to up‑country locations as needed.
