TSV Fleet Assurance Senior Advisor

About the role

The TSV Fleet Assurance Senior Advisor will work closely with the Simfer TSV team and its contractors to provide asset management, technical assurance and governance oversight for the TSV fleet. Based in Guinea, the role ensures safe, compliant and reliable marine operations in line with Rio Tinto standards and contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and asset‑management leadership as Simfer’s Owner’s Representative for the TSV fleet.
• Oversee the Contractor Management System (CMS) to ensure contractor performance, compliance and risk are effectively governed.
• Support the TSV Fleet Manager in delivering safe, reliable and cost‑effective fleet operations.
• Manage marine and product regulatory risks and embed safe work practices for transshipment operations.
• Offer independent insight, challenge and recommendations on fleet performance, asset integrity and lifecycle decisions.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in marine fleet operations, asset management or technical assurance.
• Proven ability to work with contractors and oversee governance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for marine and product handling.
• Excellent analytical and decision‑making skills with a focus on risk mitigation.
• Ability to operate as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
