About the role

Rio Tinto is seeking a Principal Advisor for Third‑Party Due Diligence to lead risk‑based assessments of external partners. Based in Conakry, the role will directly influence the company’s compliance narrative and corporate identity by delivering thorough ownership and legal‑status analyses.

Key responsibilities

• Identify potential third‑party risks and coordinate escalation to internal stakeholders or legal experts.
• Produce final reports for operational units with findings and actionable recommendations.
• Perform quality checks on due‑diligence reports prepared by colleagues and analysts.
• Review and act on monitoring alerts generated by the risk‑management system.
• Coordinate implementation of the TPRM framework and serve as the primary contact for Guinea‑based stakeholders.
• Identify improvement opportunities for the program and design tailored solutions.
• Support the TPDD team on ongoing, planned, and new projects.

Required profile

• University degree (or equivalent) in law, finance, risk management or related field, or comparable practical experience.
• Demonstrated experience conducting third‑party due‑diligence, risk assessments, and legal‑structure analysis.
• Strong analytical abilities with a focus on detail‑oriented reporting.
• Excellent communication skills in French and English.
