Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will oversee all accounting activities across BIA Group's departments, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations and internal policies. You will play a key role in maintaining a healthy financial position that supports long‑term relationships with customers and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end transaction administration, cash follow‑up and budget control.
• Validate financial correctness and feasibility, applying the four‑eyes principle.
• Monitor cash flow, prepare VAT returns and handle monthly closing.
• Maintain the general ledger, manage debtors and creditors, and file tax and CBS reports.
• Prepare annual accounts and provide financial reports, analyses and KPIs for business management.
• Act as the single point of contact with the Shared Service Center and ensure adherence to the Finance Manual.
• Participate in project groups, analyse anomalies and support customers and suppliers with financial queries.

Required profile

• HBO degree in Finance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in an accounting position.
• Strong command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with SAP FI.
