Deputy Project Manager – West Africa

About the role

K&A Engineering Consulting is seeking a Deputy Project Manager to support large‑scale infrastructure projects across West Africa. You will work closely with senior leadership to deliver substation, transmission and distribution initiatives that drive reliable energy services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling and budgeting of multi‑million‑dollar infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including civil, electrical and construction specialists.
• Monitor project progress, manage risks and ensure compliance with FIDIC contract standards.
• Prepare and present status reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Support procurement, contract administration and quality assurance activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience managing large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• PMP certification and accredited FIDIC module.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical or Construction Management (Master’s preferred).
• Extensive experience working in West African countries.
