Senior Supervisor – ROM Production

About the role

Mansa Resources is looking for an experienced Senior Supervisor to lead safe, reliable and efficient Run of Mine (ROM) operations at Kouroussa Gold Mine in Guinea. The role ensures a continuous ore feed to the processing plant while upholding the highest safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily and shift‑based ROM receiving, stockpiling, reclaim and crusher‑feeding activities to maintain uninterrupted ore supply.
• Supervise mobile crushing circuit operations, including jaw crusher, cone crusher and screening modules on the ROM pad.
• Implement ore blending strategies in collaboration with Geology, Mining and Processing teams.
• Monitor stockpile inventories, material segregation, housekeeping and traffic management within the ROM area.
• Coordinate proactive maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns.
• Align ROM operating plans with mining schedules, crusher availability, maintenance needs and plant throughput targets.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, risk assessments and permit‑to‑work systems.
• Lead toolbox talks, inspections, incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Supervise, coach and develop ROM supervisors and operators, supporting workforce planning and competency development.
• Track performance indicators such as tonnes handled, equipment utilisation, crusher feed continuity and downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity and ore feed consistency.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or Degree in Mineral Processing, Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7‑10 years of experience in mining, ROM or ore handling, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong practical experience in ROM operations, stockpile management, ore blending and mobile crushing systems.
• Good understanding of primary crushing operations and ore feed management in a gold processing environment.
• Commitment to health, safety, environmental management and operational excellence.
• Experience working in multicultural mining environments and leading operational teams.
• Excellent planning, coordination, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Proficient reporting and communication skills; fluent English required, French an advantage.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to work on a remote mine site.
