Associate Operations Officer – Sustainable Infrastructure Advisory

About the role

The Associate Operations Officer will support the Sustainable Infrastructure Advisory (SIA) team in Conakry, helping clients in the mining and infrastructure sectors address sustainability challenges. This fixed‑term position offers the chance to work within the World Bank Group’s Infrastructure Vice Presidency, contributing to climate‑smart, socially inclusive projects.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day project activities and ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
• Assist in sustainability assessments, data collection, and analysis for client projects.
• Prepare and edit reports, presentations, and knowledge products for internal and external audiences.
• Liaise with client teams, government agencies, and other stakeholders to gather information and facilitate project implementation.
• Support capacity‑building workshops and training sessions for client staff.
• Monitor project progress, track milestones, and maintain project documentation.

Required profile

• University degree in engineering, environmental studies, economics, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in project coordination, operations, or sustainability advisory, preferably in infrastructure or mining.
• Fluency in English and French (both written and spoken).
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and adapt to the local context in Guinea.

• Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Microsoft PowerPoint for preparing client presentations.
• Strong data analysis and quantitative skills.
