Bambara Language Expert (Remote)

About the role

This remote contract position focuses on providing expert-level Bambara language support for AI training projects. You will help shape next‑generation models by delivering high‑quality translations, annotations, and linguistic insights. No prior AI experience is required; your mastery of Bambara is the key asset.

Key responsibilities

• Translate content to and from Bambara with accuracy and cultural relevance.
• Edit and proofread Bambara language data to maintain high quality.
• Collaborate with AI trainers and developers to annotate and evaluate Bambara datasets.
• Develop and review glossaries, linguistic resources, and written materials in Bambara.
• Provide insights on idioms, expressions, and cultural references to improve AI outputs.
• Participate in team discussions, offering linguistic expertise and feedback.
• Ensure all deliverables meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Bambara.
• Strong background in linguistics, translation, or a related field.
• Proven experience creating, editing, or reviewing Bambara written content.
• Ability to translate complex concepts accurately and fluently.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to linguistic integrity.
• Self‑motivated and able to work efficiently in a remote environment.
