Consultant On‑call Radiologic Technologist (Guinea)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) seeks a qualified Consultant On‑call Radiologic Technologist to support the Health Assessment Programme in Conakry, Guinea. The role involves performing chest X‑ray screening for refugees and immigrants and ensuring high‑quality imaging services under the supervision of senior radiology staff.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct chest X‑ray examinations for migrants as part of the health assessment process.
• Operate digital X‑ray equipment and ensure compliance with radiologic safety standards.
• Maintain quality management procedures and documentation for all imaging activities.
• Collaborate with the Senior Radiologic Technologist, IOM Radiologist, and Chief Migration Health Officer.
• Utilise the IOM Teleradiology Center for technical guidance and image transmission.
• Support the implementation and use of Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution.
• Valid license to practice radiography where applicable.
• Minimum three years (Bachelor) or five years (Diploma) of experience in radiography, especially chest X‑ray.
• Knowledge of radiographic techniques, digital imaging equipment, and radiologic safety.
• Familiarity with quality management processes, RIS and PACS.
