Finance & Administration Trainee

About the role

BIA Group is seeking a Finance & Administration Trainee to support its accounting and financial reporting functions in Guinea. The role involves gathering and processing financial data to ensure accurate monthly management accounts and yearly financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Process journal entries and invoices accurately and on time.
• Coordinate with business departments and intercompany units to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare payment instructions, reconcile sales, purchases, credit‑card, supplier and customer statements.
• Perform bank, petty‑cash, and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain the fixed‑assets register and prepare statutory returns (TDS, corporate tax, VAT, etc.).
• Assist in cash‑flow forecasting, budgeting, and preparation of monthly reporting packs.
• Support auditors during statutory and tax audits and help implement internal controls.
• Assist HR with expense reconciliation and prepare loan agreements and related board resolutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or ACCA Level 2 (or equivalent).
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Minimum three years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong analytical mindset, autonomous, and able to work in a team.
