HSE Supervisor – Health, Safety & Environment

About the role

The HSE Supervisor will lead the implementation of BIA Group's health, safety and environment (HSE) policy at the Guinea site. Reporting to the Regional HSE Manager, the role ensures a strong safety culture, legal compliance and continuous improvement of HSE systems.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments, apply control measures and perform regular audits.
• Ensure compliance with local HSE legislation and company policies.
• Implement and maintain the HSE training matrix, including inductions and ongoing training.
• Develop and update Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all tasks.
• Execute the inspection plan and design identification sheets for tools, equipment and chemicals.
• Report, investigate and analyse accidents/incidents, driving root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Prepare weekly HSE reports, KPI analysis and action plans for management.
• Design site‑specific emergency plans, conduct drills and train all personnel.
• Collect HSE information for internal newsletters and communications.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HSE coordination or supervision, preferably in construction, mining or public works environments.
• Strong knowledge of local HSE regulations and international best practices.
• Ability to lead training sessions, investigations and emergency response activities.
• Excellent communication skills and capacity to work autonomously within a multicultural team.
