Industrial Relations and HR Manager

About the role

The Senior HR Professional specializing in Industrial Relations will lead labor‑relations initiatives, strengthen community ties, and oversee all core HR functions. This position reports to senior management and plays a pivotal role in aligning people strategies with the company’s objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement industrial‑relations strategies, act as primary liaison with union representatives, and lead collective‑bargaining negotiations.
• Resolve industrial disputes promptly while ensuring compliance with local labour laws.
• Design and deliver training on labour‑relations best practices for managers and staff.
• Create and execute community‑engagement programs, build relationships with local organisations, and represent the company at community events.
• Collaborate with the HR team on recruitment, onboarding, performance management, benefits administration, and payroll support.
• Advise senior leadership on HR trends, policy updates, and compliance matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; master’s degree or professional certification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of HR experience with a focus on industrial relations and community engagement.
• Strong knowledge of labour legislation, collective‑bargaining processes, and community‑development practices.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English; Mandarin is a plus.
• Experience in the rail industry is advantageous.
