Logistics Manager

About the role

The Logistics Manager will lead all logistics activities for a construction equipment company, overseeing international freight, customs clearance, warehousing, inventory and distribution. The role ensures timely, safe delivery of equipment, spare parts and materials while driving efficiency and cost reduction.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and manage transportation and distribution of construction equipment, spare parts and materials.
• Coordinate international shipments, local transport and last‑mile delivery, monitoring progress and resolving delays.
• Handle import documentation, work with freight forwarders, customs brokers and authorities to secure smooth customs clearance.
• Supervise daily warehouse operations, maintain inventory accuracy and implement 5S safety standards.
• Manage relationships with transportation providers and logistics vendors, negotiate contracts and optimise vehicle utilisation.
• Prepare and monitor the logistics budget, analyse costs and identify savings opportunities.
• Lead and coach the logistics team, assign tasks, conduct training and promote a safety‑first culture.
• Ensure compliance with Guinea’s laws, HSE requirements and internal audit standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade or related field.
• Proven experience managing end‑to‑end logistics operations, preferably in heavy‑equipment or construction sectors.
• Strong knowledge of international freight, customs procedures and warehouse management.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and leadership abilities.
