Material Specialist – Guinea

About the role

The Material Specialist will manage the flow of materials into the locomotive repair line at our subcontractor facility in Guinea, near the port of Morebaya. You will ensure that all required parts and supplies are available on time to keep the 24/7 repair operation running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the technical execution team to fulfill material requests and communicate any issues.
• Plan, direct and coordinate warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of third‑party logistics providers.
• Conduct daily morning meetings, cycle counts, and annual stock inventories.
• Pick, inspect, label, and package materials accurately and safely.
• Maintain organized stock areas and ensure a clean, safe working environment.
• Operate a forklift and other material‑handling equipment.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Fluent in French and English; Guinean nationality required.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
