Material Specialist – Guinea Local

About the role

The Material Specialist will manage the flow of materials into the locomotive repair line at our subcontractor facility in Guinea. Working on a 24/7 schedule, you will ensure that all required parts and supplies are available on time to keep the repair line operating efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the technical execution team to fulfill material requests and communicate any issues.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of third‑party logistics providers.
• Conduct daily morning meetings, cycle counts, and annual stock inventories.
• Pick, inspect, label, and package materials accurately and safely.
• Maintain organized stock areas and ensure a clean, safe working environment.
• Operate forklifts and other material‑handling equipment.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Fluent in French and English; Guinean nationality required.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
