Motor Specialist Technician

About the role

The Motor Specialist Technician will ensure that all rebuild projects are delivered with the highest quality, reliability and within the defined schedule. Working in a fully equipped REMAN workshop, you will support the workshop manager in planning, supervising daily operations and maintaining safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Utilise workshop labour and resources to meet operational targets.
• Assist the workshop manager in short‑ and mid‑term planning, considering parts delivery.
• Monitor daily progress against the plan and allocate job cards to technicians based on skill sets.
• Ensure work complies with Komatsu Standard Procedures and proper use of RESO software.
• Provide daily operational reports, timesheets and component testing documentation to the Senior Supervisor.
• Maintain detailed records, pictures and labor logs for each job and track parts consumption.
• Deliver on‑the‑job training, technical advice and promote a zero‑tolerance safety culture.

Required profile

• Craft or advanced certificate in a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a fully equipped REMAN workshop handling mining machine components.
• Strong knowledge of mechanics and electricity.
• Good computer literacy with MS‑Word, Excel and Microsoft Project.
• Customer‑focused attitude, respect for leadership and strong interpersonal communication.
