About the role

Rio Tinto is looking for recent graduates to join its Logistics and Purchasing team supporting the Simandou Iron Ore Project in Guinea. This entry‑level position offers the chance to work on large‑scale supply‑chain activities in a fast‑moving, safety‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the optimisation of procurement and supply‑chain processes.
• Support planning and scheduling of material deliveries for the mine, rail and port infrastructure.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure timely and cost‑effective sourcing.
• Prepare and analyse basic reports on inventory, spend and supplier performance.
• Participate in negotiations and contract administration under supervision.

Required profile

• Graduated in Logistics, Commerce, Purchasing, Management or a related field (2024‑2026).
• Strong organisational and planning abilities.
• Good written and oral communication skills, with basic English proficiency.
• Analytical mindset and interest in negotiation.
• Ability to work in a demanding, safety‑critical environment.
• Driving licence is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
