Remote Loma/Toma Interpreter (English)

About the role

GLOBO is seeking a full‑time Remote Interpreter to provide high‑quality interpreting between English and Loma/Toma. The role is performed from a home office using telephone and video platforms, supporting clients in healthcare, legal, education and government sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, consecutive interpretation while preserving tone, intent and confidentiality.
• Accept assignments promptly, manage personal schedule and document each session according to client protocols.
• Utilise GLOBO’s proprietary technology tools for telephone and video remote interpreting.
• Maintain cultural awareness and adapt to sector‑specific terminology as required.

Required profile

• Fluent in both Loma/Toma and English with strong listening and speaking skills.
• Proven experience in consecutive interpreting, preferably in healthcare, legal, education or government contexts.
• Comfortable using remote communication tools (telephone, video platforms, web applications) with a reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.
• Professionalism, adherence to interpreting ethics, and ability to work independently under pressure.
• High school diploma required; additional training in linguistics or interpreting certification is a plus.
