Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will oversee all accounting activities across BIA Group's departments in Guinea, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations and internal policies. You will play a key role in maintaining a healthy financial position to support long‑term relationships with customers and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including cash follow‑up, budgeting and monthly closing.
• Validate financial transactions for correctness and compliance with the “four‑eyes” principle.
• Monitor cash flow, draw up VAT returns and file tax and CBS reports.
• Maintain the general ledger and act as the single point of contact with the Shared Service Center.
• Manage debtor and creditor accounts, prepare annual accounts and support customers and suppliers with financial queries.
• Ensure adherence to the Finance Manual and internal controls.
• Participate in project groups, produce financial reports, KPIs and analyse anomalies and trends.

Required profile

• Higher professional education (HBO) in Finance.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Strong written and spoken skills in Dutch and English.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP FI module.
