Senior Driver – Conakry

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Driver to support the safe and efficient mobility of staff, documents and logistical materials at its mission in Conakry, Guinea. The role ensures reliable transportation for senior officials and contributes to the overall security of movement within the office.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the vehicle(s) assigned to the Chief of Mission, Head of Office and Regional Director.
• Guide, monitor and organise transportation schedules for other drivers in the unit.
• Perform daily vehicle checks (tires, brakes, engine oil, fan belt, etc.) and arrange minor repairs.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure regular service intervals are met.
• Keep records of spare parts and conduct monthly inventory.
• Plan the most direct and safe routes using the best available roads.
• Ensure vehicles are used solely for official and authorized business.

Required profile

• Works under the technical supervision of the Senior Logistics Assistant and overall supervision of the Supply Chain Officer.
• Demonstrated experience in driving official vehicles and managing vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to coordinate schedules and maintain accurate records.
