About the role

Rio Tinto SimFer is offering an academic internship in Human Resources within the Simandou Iron Ore Project in Guinea. The role provides a unique opportunity to apply your studies, explore various HR functions, and contribute to one of the world’s largest mining projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily HR activities across recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
• Assist in preparing HR documentation and maintaining employee records.
• Participate in HR projects that promote talent development and organizational culture.
• Collaborate with experienced HR professionals in a multicultural, dynamic environment.

Required profile

• Guinean nationality.
• Enrolled in a recognized university.
• Pursuing a degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology, Social Law or a related field.
• Possession of a university‑issued internship agreement.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated rigor, discretion, integrity and good organisational sense.
• Strong interest in HR and people development.
• Knowledge of English is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
